HU does not release award tickets in economy class (S class) on domestic China flights far in advance, either.

Hmm..is your experience from booking online, because I'd think the phone reps would allow more segments as long as it's a logical routing.
Also, I assume flying AS won't change the calculus. So, for example, LAX-SEA-PVG(stop)-yyy is possible?

Another strange thing I haven't been seeing them on my searches to Hong Kong or other Asian cities. Is their subsidiary Hong Kong Airlines not bookable as Hainan? My gut says no, but I could have sworn I saw a flight on them to HKG for an award operated by their subsidiary.

I am seeing on alaska search, like on aug 24 SZX-HAK there are options for economy, business, and first. I never knew HU to have a first class, and when I search on their website first is not an option. The aircraft listed as flying this route is the Boeing 737-800, which is just a 2 cabin model for HU as far as I've seen. Is this is error on Alaska's part offering 3 cabins?

Has anyone been having issues seeing international intra-Asia HU space? For instance, I see space almost every day in S and J on Expertflyer PEK-BKK or some flights to Tokyo, but it does not show up on AS website or call center.
Intra-china space seems to perfectly match EF. I know I saw this space not long ago...

Does AS permit open jaws on tickets involving Hainan? For example, DEN-SEA-LAX-CTU/CTU-PEK-SEA-MKE? I don't want to book a one-way on return to the USA because we all know that will trigger extra security screening. Can open jaws be booked online or only via the AS call center?

And FYI, I have a small sample size, but so far I've flown two one-ways to the US (one on PS and one on CX) and had no issues reentering the US with Global Entry and no SSSS on my boarding passes.

I booked two mileage tickets in J from SEA-PEK this october. I'm unable to pull up the reservation on the Hainan site - tried their confirmation # and the e-ticket. Is there some trick to this? I can see the reservation on the Alaska site, but wanted to select seats.
