Blankets in F? (Red-Eyes) 2016 and Later

There was a blanket at my seat when I boarded the 7:00 am flight BOS-SEA June 3rd. I never used it but it did look nice and those that did use them seemed happy with them.

All trans cons have blankets except ATL and RDU.
all fights to and from Hawaii also have them.
for now the Airbus has the purple blankets Boeing the new blue ones until the purple are gone then all will be Boeing blue.

Same thing for me earlier this week, BOS-SFO in F. Was 7AM departure. Asked FA for blanket. Got look and statement to effect: "Are you kidding"?
I apologized and assured her I would reduce expectations and be likely to change carriers when flying F.
Come on now. The F cabin had 8 seats. What could 8 blankets do to the budget? The chief competitors (UA and DL) have blankets, and, arguably, better coffin seats. Will this airline really stay competitive? It was my first flight on them, and I was thoroughly unimpressed with my whole flight.
