OMA going mainline in June

Starting in June. That's a big increase in capacity, from a CR7 to a 737. I don't know which variety of they 737, but even the 737-700 is a big increase in seats. Sounds like OMA is doing well.

If given a choice, I'd like 2x daily E-175 service. But if they wanted the capacity a daily 737 probably makes more sense.

Great news! That takes away my last excuse to visit my family out there!

Speaking of seating capacity, has there been any word on whether part of OO's big MRJ90 order will be allocated toward AS service? I know it isn't a huge increase over E175 seats, but it's still something in between the Embraer and the -700.

Didn't the MRJ program just take a huge step backward? I seem to recall seeing delivery being pushed to 2020 or later as of last week.

Damn, hadn't heard that news yet. Looks like the first delivery to ANA will be in Q2 2018, so OO won't get them until sometime after that.

Thanks for sharing that news, AS Flyer. Having AS jet service into OMA just might seal the deal for a nostalgia trip back to the heartland. I can almost taste a cheesy Big Fred's pizza and a rare steak from Gorat's ...

I fly this route on a regular basis, and it is always full. In fact, at one point they were talking about adding a second flight, but this is even better. They did also add OMA-PDX which starts in Feb.

I was even able to bump on this route once, and have seen multiple times where it was oversold.
