SEA-PDX up to 4 mainline???

SEA-PDX up to 4 mainline???
Looking at alaskaair.com, I noticed for next Monday that there are now 4 mainline flights going between SEA-PDX. I didn't realize Alaska had upped it to 4. Was this announced? Just temporary?

Here are the flights I see on the website-
  • AS412 06:30 (737-800)
  • AS422 17:15 (B737-700)
  • AS420 21:00 (B737-900)
  • AS414 22:30 (B737-800)


Also, interesting at least to me, I asked a week ago to be moved from the AS414 PDX-SEA flight to the QX flight and hour(ish) earlier, and the QX gate agent was surprised & confused, as he didn't even realize there was any AS flights between PDX/SEA.

Would make sense and just before Labor Day is busy as can be in PDX and SEA areas.

I think it is because they finally realize customers have the Q400's (at least I do).

Hasn't there been a discussion around the forum that AS has run out of room for RON frames at SEA...and PDX is a good place to park them until they are needed again up the road?

May as well fly them to PDX and let the Q400s be elsewhere?

ime I've only had the 'water service' at best. Although I've only flown between SEA and PDX/YVR
