2nd and 3rd PDX-SEA mainline flights added
I was looking at flights in August, and found the following:
PDX-SEA:
AS 423 - 700AM-744AM
AS 411 - 915AM-1008AM
AS 403 - 715PM-805PM
SEA-PDX:
AS 422 - 515PM-603PM
AS 420 - 900PM-948PM
AS 414 - 1030PM-1118PM
I think that most midcon / transcon flights now can connect to a mainline flight to PDX.

Hmm is QX short on A/C and AS is increasing fleet utilization?

AS is short on gate space in SEA and is parking jets in PDX.

As much as I love the concept of flying mainline PDX-SEA or SEA-PDX, I recently did the AS 414 SEA-PDX and it takes just as long to board as any other mainline flight - painfully slow compared to the front and back boarding on a Q400 and longer than the flight itself. Not worth it to me unless I'm up front (I wasn't).

Hi -
As mentioned in other threads, all of the planes these days seem packed. Maybe this is a reflection of both limited gate space in SEA and more demand for connecting traffic through SEA to other cities. I know I would much rather connect in SEA than in another hub city on another airline.
