Mileage Spreadsheet
Does anyone here use a mileage spreadsheet? Just wondering since most of the info is found under the Mileage Activity page. However, I know there's a good # of FTers who still use mileage spreadsheets.

i use one, simply to project the number of upcoming EQMs I will have for the year.
|
I have one to track EQMs (AS & AS+Partner) of upcoming flights. Helps to be sure all miles were credited from previous flights too.
|
For those that use one and have a good spreadsheet, would you be willing to share? :)

Carrier City pair Flight # Seat # Eticket # Base miles (great circle distance) Fare basis/class EQMs earned RDMs earned |
I use one near the end of the year to track EQM to determine if I need a mileage run or two to make the next status level. As others have said, also useful to ensure all partner flights get credited properly

I log date, airline, route, flight number, A/C number, flight miles, bonus miles and total. Other than the base miles I dont have a seperate colum for class of service eqms vs elite bonus miles. When I log an award flight I just write award as a note and put in 0's. As for the a/c numbers. Im so far behind it would probably take literally 5 or 6 hours of looking them all up using BTS.gov. Im about 75 or 100 behind and the only way is look up 1 at a time slowly. On 2/28/08 I flew N944AS. Had I known at that time the history of that a/c I probably wouldve rescheduled or rebooked onto something else.

I write mine on the back of my boarding pass then transfer it to my spreadsheet when I get the chance. Yes, I use a paper BP. I like them.

I use one that tracks partner earning percentages, BIS miles, and EQM.
PM me if anyone want's a copy. |
creating a spreadsheet to track miles isn't reinventing the wheel or rocket science...
I created one to list my flight routes and miles --one column Alaska and other is partner. I also have a column to count segments. I also list potential flights I see myself making over the course of the year. With planned travel through memorial day weekend I should have accumulated: 7858 AS, 9747 AA/DL 17605 Total 17 segments I have at least 4-5 RT flights planned for the rest of the year. 1 of these trips should give me around 4,000 miles (5 segments) The other flights should give me at least 1,000 miles (flying DL --I lose miles at 50%) and 2 segments each way. AFAIK they don't have this---I wish AS had a 3rd option for status of 10K on AS and 12.5k on partner instead of 20K on AS and 25K combined. For gold it would be 20K AS and 25K on partners. |
Learned something new today... I learned that AS only bases the 100%/125% elite bonus off the base miles not the base miles+COS bonus. A bit of a bummer..
|
This is an interesting idea. I just created mine, with the following columns:
Date flew, From, To, Carrier, Miles, Bonus, EQM, Date posted, Delay |
I try to keep my life simple, but for those who believe anything worth doing is worth tracking, perhaps some of the "worksheet warriors" will post links to their spreadsheets.
