The ability to get your non refundable ticket back as a credit for future travel when you miss your flight or have to cancel at the last minute is probably my most useful benefit for me.


As far as what I like emotionally, upgrades of course.

surpirsed Im the only one that voted so far for no change fees >60 days out. As an elite it doesnt usually affect me except when flying with wife and family.

Of course I like the unlimited comp upgrades too but that isnt really a benefit that sets AS apart from any other airline except AA for their mid and lower levels

Most of these features are really good, but what makes the program spectacular for me are the upgrade policies, particularly companion upgrades on qualifying fares with the companion pass.

no change/cancel fees for MVPG is abundantly useful and causes me to book more expensive, in-advance tickets on AS when other "cheaper" options are available on OALs.
