never able to do online checkin on a BA issued AS award ticket

Hello,
Has anyone else come across this?

Even with the Alaska Confirmation code it always says there is an issue with your reservation and to check in in person at the airport.

It's always been fine when we get there, just wish we could on line checkin the day before.

I suspect that although you have reservation locators with both BA and AS, the real problem lies with the fact that your ticket was issued by BA. Unless your ticket begins with 027, I don't believe you can do anything online with it at alaskaair.com.

Perhaps someone who actually works for Alaska Airlines might care to clarify this...

Wirelessly posted (beckoa's BB: Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9810; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.11+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/7.1.0.694 Mobile Safari/534.11+)

I've had luck with DL issued AS operated paid tickets (006 ticket stock)

Never tried OAL's though.

Thank you Seat 2A and Beckoa for your replies^

The BA ticket is a 025 number and I think as seat 2A said, this is the reason why OCI dosn't work.

Thanks again

OLCI has worked for me on BA ticket stock, using the mobile phone and the web...

Of course, I call AS and have them add my MVPG number for priority seating, etc. first though.

I've also had no issue having done it lots of times. I've done it with my AS, BA and AA FF numbers.
