Take a lot of short-haul flts on AS/QX? Consider the Chase BA card.
This topic has been discussed on numerous forums but I thought it might be helpful to some of our newer readers.
If you take many one-segment flts of less than 651 miles you should consider getting the Chase BA card for the 50K Avios it gives you (after charging $2000 w/in the first 3 months). On AS/QX (also AA/US) flts it will only cost you 4500 Avios for each one-way flt. That's 11 one-way flts for getting one credit card. We make a lot of flts in the NW so this is very valuable for us. You also have an annual fee on the card. See https://creditcards.chase.com/credit...&slatesplit=2& Miles Econ. Bus. First 1-650 4,500 9,000 13,500 651-1151 7,500 15,000 22,500 1152-2K 10,000 20,000 30,000 2001-3K 12,500 25,000 37,500 3001-4K 20,000 40,000 60,000 4001-5.5K 25,000 50,000 75,000 5501-6.5K 30,000 60,000 90,000 6501-7K 35,000 70,000 105,000 7001-100K 50,000 100,000 150,000 The AS credit card is fine too but only gives you 25K>30K miles and ANY one-way flt on AS/QX will eat up 12,500 of those miles. This card works best for longer flts and some partner flts. Just food for thought. Happy travels. [I do not get a referral for either of these cards.] |
Probably works best for SEA and PDX flyers as I understand connections are priced higher.
