Advice on MR?
Hi! It's that time again, and I'm weighing the possibility of a MR to move up to MVPG. I missed it last year, and I miss it! This year, I'll really need the perks of MVPG, notable the lack of change fare fees and the great service line.
I'll need a lot of miles: 15,058
I'm JNU based, but will be in SEA in Nov..
Considering a SEA-BOS, BOS-LAX, LAX-SEA (double EQM segment at 954 miles) for 6999 EQM.
And then I'd need another 9,057 EQM....
But I'd rather go somewhere warm! Maybe it's just unattainable....
I'd greatly appreciate your ideas.
Sue

I was looking at trying to do multiple SEA-LAX trips in a weekend in 2014, especially with the fare being so low (around $80 each way) on certain day, including Saturdays....it's been tough trying to get more than 2 roundtrips done in a day and even that is a challenge when the fare isn't available for hours after you arrive.

Could be a bit late to score cheap MR now with the PFD sales ending

I was able to find SEA-BOS-SEA-SAT-SEA in 24 hrs (fri night-sat night) for about $500 to secure gold for next year.
Turns out thanks to the DEQM for SEA - OAK,SFO,SJC i wont need the Sea-SAT Rt.
But hey should be an interesting way to spend 24 hours, first mileage run i have ever tried.

Depends on whether OP's EQMs this year have been AS only or including partners.
I personally would book as many 2014 trips as possible before 12/31/13. 50% of MVPG in 2 months to get 1 year worth of status vs lock in at least MVP through end of 2015
