To try to make sense of what's all happening between AS and DL, the idea arose during the recent Alaska do to create a compendium in the wiki of the various stages of the current spat. Please add your knowledge where you can!

I believe the top 10 stats are actually based on O&D passengers, not connecting. The stats are likely generated from the DB1B data which is a 10% sample of tickets which includes origin and destination information.

62 destinations, but some of those are merely overnight parking spots, not dissimilar to AS use of SLC for overnight parking.

I think the Condor deal is a shop stick in the eye at DL!! And I damn well love it. Now from PDX we can access Europe without A) DL B) Seattle.

Plus 100% bonus on paid biz at very reasonable rates. Gotta love it

Inferior biz product to Delta lie-flat, all aisle access. Not a suitable substitute.

It's not like there's a lot of choices out there. Already partners with air France, KLM, BA, AA, and Star alliance carriers are seemingly off limits

Real destination (not connecting point) data for airports are something I am very curious to look at. But I don't see it from your link. Any idea or more clear link? Thanks!

And less than daily service on most (or all?) routes. Don't get me wrong, this is good to have, but it's in no way a replacement for a full service network carrier (and I don't see Alaska claiming that it is). Condor is a trans-Atlantic Allegiant.

I'm almost certain those top 10 statistics are in fact first destination, not the O&D data that could be derived from the 10% O&D survey. For example, go to a simple case, Wenatchee. The only destination airport listed on that page is Seattle, which makes sense because that's the only airport served. However, there is no traffic to any other airport, which of course is not reflective of O&D statistics. (In fact, there's very little O&D traffic on EAT-SEA flights.)

Ok, when's the last time you have seen KLM or AF biz awards available? Same goes for the others.

I am just saying it's a good alternative especially since AS does not belong to an alliance and for those of us that travel internationally it does make a difference at times, most of the time.

Wow you must live right. I have tried the past two years and even the agent said that they are not seeing the availability as it once was.
