That'll be $50 for your complaint, please.

In that case, my fee for complaints about moderation in the Alaska Airlines forum will henceforth be indexed to the rate of inflation in Argentina.

Rumor has it that on the Q4 earnings call, AS said they're rolling out a new livery in 2014.

Wouldn't surprise me if AS used the Employee Powered plane's livery.

dont really understand why airlines do this all the time. Seems like a big waste of money unless they are repainted when they are due to be repainted but usually isnt the case. I guess its time for AS to have a livery make over but some of these airlines seem to be changing liveries every several years. The employee powered isnt much different. The Seattle livery is pretty sharp looking

Looks like they are planning to put a bunch of money into it. Here's the info from the earnings call available via www.SeekingAlpha.com:

Second, we've provided for costs associated with our brand refresh initiative, including a new aircraft delivery (I think this was actually livery on the call) that will likely be rolled out later this year, as well as higher advertising and promotion costs to support this and other marketing initiatives.

...we've provided $25 million to $30 million related to the brand initiative...

From the earnings call:

First, we plan to increase IT spending again this year. We've budgeted a $27 million or about 30% increase in 2014 as several large infrastructure projects reach full stride and we increase our investment in functionality and aimed at making the travel experience more hassle free. The increase compares to increases of about $10 million in each of the past three years.
