Perks
Chauffeur Drive NOT Available
Car service is not available for all Business Class and First Class passengers on Alaska Airlines ticketed award tickets on Emirates flights (as of Jan 2015). The chauffeur will not confirm if you use the EK website for this, though the website makes it look you can make a reservation.
Lounges
Access is available for all passengers traveling in Business and First Class. Not all cities have lounges and many may be operated by a Partner. There have been some reports of people having an issue accessing the Dubai lounges as the tickets may appear in their system as non-revenue employee travel. This is not as much of a problem as it used to be but in case it comes up please advise the lounge attendant that you are on an Alaska Airlines award.
Dubai Connect
AS Awards on EK do not qualify for Dubai Connect, which is the service that offers the free hotel.
Tricks to find Transoceanic availability
Instead of performing a blanket, i.e. SEA-DXB search, perform: SEA-MED.
Madinah is a destination that is only served by EK. Consequently, if there is availability, only EK will show up in the calendar results.

You can also use ITA. Entering DXB and LHR as your connecting cities should bring up flights with A as the booking class on EK, BA, and AA. Looking forward to my March trip:
CMB DXB EK 77W
DXB LHR EK 388
LHR DFW AA 77W
DFW SEA AA 738
All for around $1,950. I'm crediting the miles to AS MP, so BA metal was out for me. I prefer the EQMs on EK and AA, plus I get the new AA 77W.

DFW SEA AA 738

CMB-SIN EK 77W
SIN-LHR QF 388
LHR-US on BA/AA
This one prices out a little more $2,200 range and can't be booked on EK.com. There is an FTer that is a TA that specialized in these more complicated routings and in round trips ($4,500 range fully changeable). If anyone is interested, PM me for contact info.

For those interested in racking up more miles and/or trying the QF 380, you can also go via SIN:
CMB-SIN EK 77W
SIN-LHR QF 388
LHR-US on BA/AA

F Awards
Just tried to book two EK F class SFO/SEA/LAX or JFK to SIN via DXB...340 days out..no luck??? No Business class availability either. Are they releasing any award seats? I was flexible in dates...still nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks. (using Alaska Miles)

Did you actually try and see if there was saver availability on EK's site first, or on a site like ExpertFlyer?

No, I did not. I guess diving into ExpertFlyer will be my next step. Thanks

I have a question on the vice-versa. AS seems to be unique in that it has three levels of awards (Super Saver/Choice/Flex). I am looking to use EK miles on AS and I am trying both the AA and AS website to find AS seat availability.
Should I focus just on Super Saver awards at this time since the r/t award is 25k EK miles? I do find it odd that availability on the AA and AS website seems to differ (but this is known to others?).

What should it be updated to? Sorry, haven't had the time to reread the whole thread to see what the subject is and figure out a better (if any) title.
Also, using the "Alert a moderator to this post" triangle is a better way to get my attention than hoping I'll eventually run across it when reading FT.

Other than Bvondross Does anyone have experience booking LAX/SFO/SEA to DXB with AS Miles?
I'd like to make a booking, but wanted to see if it was even doable.
