AA rewards - 20 available on AA.com, but Alaska can't book any

AA rewards - 20 available on AA.com, but Alaska can't book any
I'm trying to book a reward on American Airlines. Their program shows a good 20 flights available under their program for the business first/anytime fare. Alaska can't book any of them.
What's the point of this program and its partners if you really can't book any air travel. Am I missing something here?

You can't book AA AAnytime awards using Alaska miles- those are last seat availability that are only available to AA redemptions, not to partners. You have to book MileSAAver.
