The AS website says: "Members granted complimentary status, including status matched from another program, are not eligible for these bonus miles."

I can't tell if that's the elite bonus miles for flying or the 50K miles for reaching MVP75K.

To properly answer that question: It's referring to the 50k bonus miles only. you don't get those if you status match.

At the time of the match. If you match and also fly 75K/90K/90 in the year, you're not precluded from the 50K bonus, I believe.

It's just worded poorly, I guess.

So to confirm, on a 1000mi flight in F, an MVP Gold 75k would receive:

1000 RDMs (and EQM) for BiS
1000 RDMs (and EQM) for CoS
1250 RDMs for elite bonus

For a total of 2000 EQMs/3250 RDMs, correct?

CoS on an AS F flight is only 75%, so nearly correct. (see: https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mi...on-alaska.aspx )

It'd be 1750EQM, 3000RDM.

Also you get your 4 guest upgrades right away and you will get the next 4 when you achieve MVPG earning milestone. All 8 of mine are 12/31/17 expiry and I matched earlier this year.

So the elite multiplier only applies to the base miles flown, not to the CoS bonus as well?

Correct. AFAIK, that's why they have the two columns in the earnings chart (one that goes up to 100% and one for additional earning over the first 100%.) The elite bonus only applies to the first column.

Ah... I was looking at partner F flights and figured AS would be the same. Strange that you'd get a higher CoS bonus on some partner metal instead of AS's own metal.

Arguably because partner F might not be domestic F and vastly superior and vastly more expensive.

What's up? Has any one heard of getting denied a status match from AA plat where the AA plat was awarded from a status challenge?

that was mentioned somewhere previously, yes. The status to be matched has to be actually earned - United will similarly deny a status challenge for "non-legitimate" holders of AA Plat

Any chance they'd be more lenient with VX due to the acquisition? Was thinking about taking advantage of the VX/Amex promotion for Elevate Gold.

What current match does AS offer from VX?

Sounds like I should consider trying this in October to lock in status for next year...
