Transferring from AS to CO at LAX.

Looks like our AS flight arrives into Term#3 and our CO flight leaves from Term #6.

We have about 90 minutes between flights.

I have never done this before.

Faster to walk or take the shuttle bus?

Thanks.

You won't be able to take the airside shuttle bus.... So, walking over is probably the fastest option.

It will take you about thirty minutes from your plane to T6.

Why won't I be able to take the shuttle? I am with an older person and a 30 minute walk sounds a little daunting.

It is because the shuttle is reserved for customers connecting to AA/DL and one or two more certain airlines...

I have tried that before and the agent kept pointing to the airline list and told me to take a hike.

I know you can take the shuttle to T5 then walk over to T6, but they don't care... The Menzies sucks... They are already running the shuttle and they are going to incur the expenses regardless if they let me on an empty shuttle or not...

You can give it a try, never hurts to ask.

I have heard they are picky about who boards the shuttle, although I have never tried it myself (little reason to as LAX is my home airport).

You can use the out of security shuttle to avoid the walk. Just exit security (best to do it from baggage claim/departures, as there are signs as to the pickup locations), and catch one of the LAX connection shuttles in the loop under the appropriate sign. I believe you should be able to use any of them, as T6 is after T3 in the loop (I believe the options are A for Airline Connections, C for Lot C, or G for Green Line). A would be the only option if going to a lower numbered terminal.
