2010 "Big Announcement": changed fees and routes (baggage/standby/holds/24h refunds)

Just saw this from Alaska on Twitter:

"Big Horizon Air & Alaska Airlines Announcement coming tomorrow. Be sure to check www.alaskaair.com tomorrow morning to see what it is!"

Any ideas?

Hmm, interesting. I wonder if it is at all related to this: http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo....main/4787075/

To be sure, it makes for some good speculation!

Am I alone in anxiously awaiting for the Iceland Air partner agreement? Maybe they are waiting for the volcanoes to cool off.

I thought an Emirates Agreement would be next.

Ok, I'll go out on a limb - AS buys HA.

Hey, don't get me wrong, Emirates would be incredible. I'd book a flight on Emirates tomorrow if I knew I'd get AS miles. But the buzz at the recent MVPG free meal fests has been that Iceland Air is "imminent". Emirates popped up once on the radar a while back and doesn't seem to have resurfaced.

China Air would also be great for us Alaskans. Anchorage to Asia without the pesky lower 48 stop.

I doubt it but such an announcement wouldn't shock me at this point. QX still has some unallocated CR7s that are parked I believe and AS has been very successful in Hawaii.

I read on another site that PDX-KOA was showing up as bookable. Went to alaskaair.com and sure enough I found PDX-KOA ns on 11/15. Not sure when it starts.

AS885 PDX-KOA Dep: 5:10PM Arr: 9:00PM
AS884 KOA-PDX Dep: 10:00AM Arr: 535PM

Looks like its MWFSat
