EQMs - Anyone Gold for 2011 yet?

1 - How many miles/segments have you accrued thus far?
2 - How did you do it?
3 - When do expect to reach Gold 75k?
4 - How many miles in your account?
5 - How are you going to spend them?!

My answers:

1 - 25,175 EQMs/30 segments
2 - not there yet... probably continue at this rate throughout year, mostly West Coast travel with the odd shot back East, I'll throw in a PDX-HNL vacation trip and use a companion fare later this year and a PDX-SIN-DIL with Delta and partners
3 - October, 2009
4 - 234,000... and damn hard to spend through the partner desk for coach fares to Europe/Asia
5 - Super Saver Tickets on Alaska for weekend travel. Also nearly impossible to get. Kenmore Air to Victoria. 2010 vacation... still thinking, but I want to visit all the former Portuguese colonies. Perhaps super-saver round trip PDX-BOS and then a paid ticket on TACV to Cape Verde.

No better way to ensure a thread grows than to ask people to talk about themselves Here goes...

1) 42,565 EQM in 37 segments
2) Leisure travel every weekend
3) At this rate, by the end of June
4) >200K
5) Premium intl tickets, probably something on BA, CX, or QF

1) 31,709 EQMs [AS+partners] in 15 segments
2) Leisure
3) I am on pace to do 111,000 EQMs by year's end, but I am not sure if I will be flying that much after summer, so I am not counting on getting 90K for the year.
4) >250K
5) Premium intl tickets... JNB is probably going to be the first one

Very well. I'll put my pathetic totals up.

1) 8,740 AS/11,260 AS+DL (If we tossed in my WN and VX travel, it'd be about 20K)
2) A mixture of West Coast and midcon destinations out of SEA: LAS, LAX, BUR, PHX, DAL/DFW, ORD. I transited SLC with DL a couple of times.
3) Approximately never, unless I win the lottery and decide to buy a OneWorld/SkyTeam RTW J/F pass. MVP will hit in summer, and, as always, Gold will be either barely squeaked over or I'll have to requalify in early 2011 with a segment run (A couple of SEA-PDX-SFO r/ts on Saturdays usually works).
4) ~160K
5) Various and sundry things. I want to hit Europe in some style in 2011, and I figuring out how to most effectively do this.

My sad totals so far:

1) 11,124 AS miles, 15 segs
2) bi-weekly trips up and down the West Coast, one transcon to Bos. Always try to maximize segs - lots of SMF-SJC-PDX-SEA-type itineraries.
3) too many UA flights (why doesn't AS fly to CIC?!) cutting into my chances for gold; I've got another 10K booked on AS, but I'll probably only requalify for MVP this year, especially since I'll be moving back to NC in August
4) c. 31K
5) as always, I burn my AS miles in Alaska. The opportunity for "free" AK travel is what, more than anything, keeps me buying AS tickets, even when more expensive than WN (CS helps too). I try to get to at least one super expensive AK destination per summer. Last summer it was SIT and DUT, this summer it will be BRW, and maybe ADK if Mrs. LGACIC and babies LGACICs give me a few days off.

Perhaps you can come during the ANC Summer 2010 Midnight Sun Do. Beckoa and I have been discussing about doing a group same-day trip to ADK the day before the DO, but some brought up BRW as well

I just started with AS this year, so I have a pretty pitiful account for now.

1- 7,430/9 segments, did the math and I should have MVP in by July. So impressive.
2- Flying from PDX to either BUR, LAX or SNA once or twice a month.
3- 1st of Never, 2050
4- 39,287
5- Saving up to take my mom to Sweden in business class in a couple years.

1. 45,765 - 30 Segs
2. Both business and personal, but the 6 rt's PDX-BOS so far haven't hurt.
3. Hopefully by July, 2010.
4. 305,000 but just was able to use 280,000 for 2 BA F tickets to Europe in Aug.
5. See answer to number 4 above

1 - 17,804, 17 segments credited, but I have a SEA-LAX RT that hasn't hit yet. I'll be *just* short of MVP once that hits.

2 - Almost exclusively West Coast travel. One SEA-SFO-AUS-SEA and one transcon to DCA, otherwise a whole lotta SFO

3 - I'm probably going to have to do it the hard way, and it'll come down to year-end for me if I make it. Have a Europe trip (if volcanoes stop erupting...) and a couple of transcons to come, otherwise I'll be continuing my stream of 1-3 SFO trips plus some PHX, AUS, and so on...

4 - I'm a convert from CO after moving to SEA last fall, so about 53K, with 43k flown since November of '09

5 - Excellent question. I may try and amass for awhile and see how that goes... typically it's for flights I don't feel like paying for or random travel...

update 4/27/10 Excited to have hit MVP finally on 4/20 with an in-and-out to SFO... Cruising right along to MVPG, now at 21,068, 21 segments. Was happy to see that flying a DL ticket on AS metal gave me AS miles. Have upcoming SEA-SFO, SEA-MSP and probably an SEA-PHX coming, and probably a ticket to CDG on AF this fall.
