Stopover on OpenJaw

I'm trying to make an openjaw out of a routing that isn't quite openjaw (YVR-MAD SJU-YVR). If I force a stopover on the return leg (SJU-LAX/LAX-YVR), that then makes the latter leg longer than the unflown, is this going to make this a valid openjaw?

I don't think connecting points matter. The unflown "segment" must always be the shortest (point A to point B "as the crow flies") for it to be a valid open-jaw.
