Horizon E75 vs Skywest E75 First Class

I was wondering if anyone has photos of the new Horizon E75 First Class seats? Are they different from the Skywest seats as Skywest operates for more than one airline? Also I hear Horizon has glassware in First Class.

Thanks

The AS-painted Embraers aren't being flown for other airlines. The only OO birds that float around between carriers are the CRJs in OO livery that get called during IRROPS, as with the QX fiasco last year.

How do the Alaska E75s look like?

In my experience, they look and feel the same. Staff are different and there are minor service differences, but they present what seems like an AS required service standard. IMO Horizon service is better, but certainly not a differentiator.

I noticed the SEA-DAL run flips from Skywest to Horizon at the top of the year so I will experience that switch. I am also curious about any differences. So far, I am very happy with Skywest, so worry about that. I have only flown Horizon on Q400s.

I believe the only difference is the galley of the QX plane is larger so they can prepare hot meals better. Having flown both I agree the service on QX is better, but Skywest is still good.

There are (at least) two different E75 cabins on Skywest. One first class galley has a closet, the other does not. In lieu of the closet is storage for glassware. You will subtly notice that if they can't hang your coat, you get glassware.... and vice versa. :)

I have flown numerous trips on the E75 with Skywest until the Horizon aircraft began showing up. The seating is the same and the only major difference I saw was that on Horizon there was glassware for first, on Skywest, plastic cups which is not a big deal for me. In general, I found the Skywest FAs to be as friendly and attentive as the Horizon FAs.

I would imagine those are the QX ordered E175 that SkyWest took delivery of so identical, or nearly so, of the QX E175.

I prefer the glassware to the hung jackets. Its a bit odd for me to drink a glass of wine or spirit in a plastic cup( not complaining) but at the lounges its always served in a glass

Just think of it as an all flight PDB. Rarely are those served on domestic flights in glassware.

I tend to prefer the QX crew to the OO crew - they seem to give more chocolate bars :)
The aircraft config is nearly identical except for the galley.

But either way, the 175 is the best aircraft in the AS fleet IMO.

My only complaint about the E175 is it seems to be a little slower in the air and more likely to be subjected to ground stops due to its size (esp. with the SEA runway closure). It has also had occasional fuel stops in BOI during strong headwinds on DAL-SEA.

Can't give enough ^ for this. I haven't used the rear lav in the AS E175 version, but if it's like everyone else, possibly the most spacious lav in the fleet too.

I did DAL-SEA earlier this month and noticed the same thing. About 4:30 in the air, including some extra turns over eastern OR/WA due to the typical SEA congestion.

It’s a fantastic aircraft, though, and very comfortable. I have no reservations at all about using it on a mid-con length route.
