Beecher's cheese near AS gates at SEATAC

Holy cow! How long have they been here?! This is fantastic, I love Beecher's and was rather disappointed my mileage run today wasn't allowing me to get down to Pikes for anything... Yes I would rather be in the board room right now (and tonight ~9 to 10p *hint hint*) but man this puts a smile on my face!

Also, think AS cares if I being one of Beecher's premade ready to go meals on my flight? In three hours or so one of their Aztec Trinity salads sounds great! (And they seriously have a lot better options for vegetarians then what AS can offer...)

Well over a year.

PS: it's Pike Place, not Pike's Place. ;)

JPat Feb 7, 2015 8:41 am

Shouldn't be a problem to bring the sandwich onboard. The Cafe Vita has the best coffee @ the airport, so grab a cappuccino while you're there. The Vita also has the Theo's Chocolate peanut butter cups. For a real treat back home pick up one of each, dark & milk chocolate. They are addicting!

Uh, it's been there at least a year, quite possibly more. When my flights depart from N gates I always stop at Beecher's to get a grilled ham and cheese, then hop on the train to N from the weird C gate escalators.

My last flight I took one with me as my lunch. The rest of F was jealous, I'm sure!

Stupid auto correct. Ya I know it's Pike. Anyone else doing the SEA-PHL-SEA MR right now on flight 32? I'm right in front of the little kid/baby that's already a huge pain in the ...... :-/

acarney Feb 7, 2015 9:40 am

"Coffee maker" issue keeping us on the ground an extra five minutes... Really? Lol

slopeboy40 Feb 7, 2015 9:48 am

Beecher's opened in November of 2012. And lots of people, myself included, bring our own meals on our AS flights. It's perfectly acceptable.

ANC Feb 7, 2015 9:55 am

ive never seen it.......

:o

Where exactly is it? In the food court?

I would.....especially if you are in F on a 3 hour flight, otherwise you might starve

Middle of C concourse across from the last Horizon gates.

Fully agreed. It's always my first stop before a morning departure, even if I then have to go out to N carrying my coffee!

Vita and Beecher's are running a joint operation, so if you want something from both, you can buy at either register.

Happen to know when Cafe Vita closes? That was some good coffee and would love to squeeze one more cup in on my layover before my last leg home tonight.

They are open at least until 9pm. It's my regular stop on my way home to load up on some cheese and a late dinner of their awesome Mac and Cheese. I seem to recall them even being open until 10pm some nights as one of my regular flights gets in at 9:45-ish and i still have time to get there.

CDKing Feb 7, 2015 4:24 pm

I've already preorderd chili for some reason. Will have to grab something in the morning for my QX flight

acarney Feb 7, 2015 5:19 pm

Get the Mac & Cheese. The breakfast sandwich is good, but just not as good as their classic Mac and cheese... Yes it's fine to have that for breakfast ;)

I was going ask if that was available. I'm not a breakfast person :)

Sorry I will miss you. I think from earlier posts you will be at SeaTac tonight. My flight to ANC leaves at 6:40PM and will be back at 4ish AM tomorrow but not leaving until 6ish am.

Things like this are the reason i no longer pay for a lounge membership. I always miss great places to eat and drink.

This is old news, acarney, ancient history ... you just need to get out more. ;)

It's in the C Concourse, about mid-way down on the right hand side as you head out toward the higher number gates. Look for the line.

Sandwiches, carry-out containers of mac & cheese, other goodies. Definitely worth a stop unless you have your heart set on Asian food from Waji's at the end of the C concourse.

Yep, I'm heading back right now on flight 27, should hit SEA in a little less then two hours I think. PHL was weird, the place seemed empty and the food sucked from the areas I walked around... Plus everyone seemed to hate that I walked up to see what they had for sale... Oh well, quick 45 min turn.

It hasn't been too bad of a day, playing poker since GoGo has actually been pretty stable and listening to Bill Nye read his latest book to me, lol

When at Beecher's, I often grab a pint of the cheese curds for a nosh @ 33K'. Bite size, no mess, no smell, no hassle...and if you have some leftover where you end up, they stay good even unrefrigerated for at least a day or two. Excellent road food.

Yep, though his book "Undeniable: Evolution and the Science of Creation" came out in Nov of 2014, so that's new :P

tusphotog Feb 8, 2015 5:28 pm

It's near the PDX shuttle gates which is fantastic for me. I like their turkey sandwich and of course that delicious mac and cheese.

Just a fyi, their hours are a little strange. I've gone in at 830p before and been told "we're only selling coffee" and I've gone in at 930p and it's been "sure, order whatever you want."
