New Electronics Rules
 
Southwest apparently started allowing use of PED gate to gate today. I was on Airtran yesterday evening and they were still using the old rules.

Any word of a change on Airtran?

On an Airtran flight and the FA said PED could remain on in airplane mode. Then walked by and told me my iPad could remain on in airplane mode but had to be to put away for take off and landing.

I just got this response from Airtran:

Yes, effective November 20, 2013 you may use all PED's onboard AirTran flights from gate to gate.
