Booking business (D) when segment is operated by WN

I was researching a flight to TPA or RSW recently from LAX and decided to look at Airtran. Most available routes were via ATL all on FL metal with business cabins available on all of them for the D fare.

There were a few options that were operated by WN metal and although it does state the flight is operated by WN, depending where you book it will still say 'Business Class' and does not warn you it's an all Y cabin. One of the options was LAX-MDW-RSW, with LAX-MDW on WN metal.

Booking engine said Business Class. Why don't they do a better job disclosing that travel on WN is economy only? Would WN give you Business Select? I'd think it could be grounds for a valid complaint.
