Which lounge at DFW?

All the D lounges are close to each other. E lounge is probably the least busy since it is near budget airlines and is the only lounge you cannot walk to from the other terminals. I prefer C1 depending on the time of your layover.

I have only been to The Club, Capital One, and Plaza Premium.
My recommendation is Capital One. It really is a great lounge, with great food and beverage choices. It also has nice amenities such as the rest pods. I would not recommend the Plaza Premium lounge (see my review on the lounge), since it is very small, no outside views, and not very good food/beverage choices. |

You can add yourself to the wait list for the Capital One lounge in the Capital One app on your phone as soon as you land which helps a bit.

I'm not seeing a button in the iphone Cap1 app to add myself to a waitlist under "Benefits" "Travel" or "Lounges". Does it magically appear when you are near the lounge or click on the pass?
https://capitalonetravel.com/tips-an...gital-waitlist I believe you only will see the "Join Waitlist" button if the lounge currently has a waitlist. If there isn't a current waitlist the button doesn't show up. Regards |

Reporting back from my experience on Sunday at 6pm (prime connection time at DFW).
First off, the Terminal D lounges are a major hike from the C gates. If you are taking the train I would allocate 20-30 minutes minimum EACH WAY by the time you total up walking to train +train time + walk to lounge. Ergo, unless you are in Terminal D (or maybe 1 stop) I would not bother visiting Cap1, Amex, the Club etc. unless you have 90+ minutes before boarding. Second, there was a line 30 people deep at Amex and a 30-minute waitlist at Cap1. No gracias, homie doesn't do lines. Third, there is no Chase lounge yet (I guess I jumped the gun) instead the only option is The Club which takes priority pass. The Club is not particularly easy to find at least for us. While the Club was not as mediocre as the Escape lounges, the food offerings were super weak and seating was packed. Definitely not worth spending an hour in transit around the airport. We tried walking back - the walk from the lounge to the D->C connector was not bad, but it left us at gate C-1 and we needed to be at gate C-35. Fortunately a golf cart dude gave us a lift through the C terminal. Again I would allocate 30 minutes for walking (no train) depending on your gate. To top it off we ended up with a 1.5 hour rolling delay, which we could have spent in the lounge if our gate wasn't halfway around the airport. Not to complain, we got home at a reasonable hour... |
Curious if anyone has any May 2025 'on the ground' DFW Chase Sapphire updates on progress? It has been 'coming soon' / planned for at least 1.5 years. Any construction photos / updates? Done in 2025 expected?

Flagship is #1. C1 right next to it is #2.

Plaza premium is convenient for me when I've been to DFW as I fly F9 and it flies into the gates where Plaza Premium and one of the game lounges are in. I have to take the tram thing to go to The Club. I have taken the rental shuttle directly to the Terminal where The Club. The TSA line has been longer there vs the Plaza Premium terminal.
I liked the food at Plaza Premium better. It has had a solid protein option for me: meatballs several times and chicken satay sticks two other times. I like the drinks better at The Club. Plaza was limited in free alcohol options. The Club is better for lounging around waiting for your flight as there's more room. Plaza Premium is a really small space. I get my food and then get out of there. I'll head to the Club if I still have more time to kill but usually I'll just hit the Game way lounge or whatever it's called. (CSR PP still offers this along with the massage chair place). |
