Priority Pass locations- Access on arrival?
Question-
i have Amex Platinum & was wondering if some Priority Pass lounges allow access for ‘on arrival’ situations if it doesn’t specifically state that access is for “departures only” & state that a ‘same day boarding pass’ is required? I am landing ATL in the morning & my work meeting isn’t until later in the day. I’m wondering about the Club(?) & Minute Lounges @ Atlanta airport (flying United domestically with elite status, not that it matters). TiA. |
I've definitely read on here of people using lounges on arrival via Priority Pass, where the app doesn't specify. However for ATL I will note the capacity warning, and that access is restricted to 3-hrs before your departing flight. That might appear to allude that a departure is required. It might be possible, and really might depend on what side of the bed the dragon gets that morning.

For "The Club" locations, you can use on arrival. This changed a few years ago. Also stated on their website:
"Who can use the lounge? Our lounges are located after security in the departure area and are available to checked-in departing or arriving passengers (please note this excludes arriving passengers at The Club CHS). It doesn't matter which airline or class of ticket you've got, you're welcome to use The Club and Club Aspire lounges. If you have a lounge access membership card, members of Priority Pass, Lounge Key and Lounge Club are accepted in all our lounges. Access is subject to availability without a reservation." https://theclubairportlounges.com/pa...sked-questions |
Having been up for over 24 hours, I was reluctant to try it as MSY. Reviews mentioned long waits for people on list waiting for flights.
I'm waiting for friend to arrive on a later flight. The terminal is dead and I had been sitting within eye sight of the Club elevator for 2 hours and didn't see many people going there. I finally decided to try And I got right in. There are less than 5 people here at 8pm. I'm sure it won't work when it's busy but boarding pass scanned with no problem or issues this time when lounge was empty. |
Yes, I have had hit or miss success with this. The ATL club always seems packed, but I would for sure give it a try.

I have been able to visit the LAS club on arrival, but it is always dependent on capacity. For the third party clubs, they are just interested in getting the revenue from PP by letting you in, so they are less likely to push back unless they are already full. Of course, this is really only useful for traveling domestically in the USA, as well as intra-Schengen, when you are able to access the departure area upon arrival and do not have any checked bags to collect. PP used to include access to a dedicated arrival lounge in HKG (Plaza Premium), but that lounge is closed due to the remodeling of T2.

Escape Lounges have confirmed no arrivals:
"Thank you for reaching out. Escape Lounges are open to passengers holding a confirmed boarding pass for an outbound flight on that date. Unfortunately, Lounge access is not available to passengers arriving at the airport unless it is during a layover." |
