Best Lounge in BKK
Hi All,
Funny story: In Vietnam during the lunar new year, the demand for flights on the golden route (SGN-HAN) explodes, hence airlines increase daily flights to around 60... using widebodies like the a350 and b787. The usual price for a roundtrip would cost you about 2~3million VND (80~120usd) roundtrip. However, during this peak period, airlines sell the tickets at 7.5million r/t (~310usd) which is insane. Not wanting to pay that price, I took to google flights with a mission to find a cheaper alternative.
From there, I found this deal for a roundtrip from SGN to HAN... via BKK with VNA. Turns out, thailand doesn't celebrate lunar new year, hence the no price increase. I paid 5million (200usd) for a r/t ticket, which is still expensive, but much better than paying the direct price. Another benefit is that I get way more XP on this trip (20XP as opposed to 4XP - 10usd/XP instead of 80usd/XP).
This begs the question, which lounge should I visit in Bangkok? Thanks to my ELP status with ST, I found that the lounges I could have access to include the AF/KLM lounge, the CI dynasty lounge, and all the miracle lounges. At first I thought of lounge hopping across the 3 best lounges (AF, CI, Miracle First concourse C), but this might be tight during a 2 hour layover. Which of these three would offer the best food, seating, and overall experience?
Thank you for your help
