Lounge access in Brussels question
 

Trying to figure out lounge access for The Loft or Diamond lounge (or any lounge) in Brussels if the reservation has both business and economy class.
The routing is EWR-BRU in United Polaris Business class, then BRU-BCN on Brussels Airlines in Economy class, same reservation.
I am in business class the entire way but my partner had issues with their award flight and is in economy for the BRU-BCN leg. I know I have access but will he have lounge access in Brussels because he arrived on international business class or is it only for the class of departing flights? Or am I able to bring a guest?

Yes, we have been calling the airline to try to get him moved to back business class (which is what he originally booked) but thats another issue.

According to *A rules, you get access while flying Business only in the airport from where you flight departs so you will have access but your partner won't. You might get a sympathetic lounge dragon as you and he are traveling together and he was in Business with you on the EWR-BRU leg. If by any chance he is not granted access, he can purchase access for €39. The Loft seems to have restricted times of when you can purchase access while the Diamond doesn't list any restrictions.

When I have connected through BRU with people not traveling in business, I have skipped the SN lounge and used my Priority Pass through Amex to bring them as guests into the Diamond lounge. In my experience the catering is similar to the SN lounges.
