Mexico City
I have Priority Pass and AX Biz Plat card. What lounge may I access? I have a 6 hour layover, anything amazing to do or is it worth it to go into CDMX? Will be traveling back from Teo.

Also curious about MEX lounge options in T1. Travelling AA in J so I guess the Admirals Club but was wondering if there are any other T1 options.

It's one of my favorite Admirals Clubs. Old fashioned, but comfortable and uncrowded. Excellent bartenders and the best AC food with the possible exception of the one in Paris.

The Centurion Lounge is technically outside of security but is right next to the checkpoint that is generally empty and the lounge itself is way less busy than the T2 Centurion. Probably the best lounge. Did Grand Lounge Elite as well when there was a short delay and it wasn't bad, but definitely not a great lounge.

Have been thru MEX recently on a LH-F ticket. As for the lounge situation, I was pretty well confused, 'cause the lounge that LH wanted me to attend had awful reviews, so my plan was to use PP and go for a different one.
Well, after a hard struggle to find that lounge (due to bad location advice by PP), I actually found one "Grand Lounge". When they have learned that I was LH-F (and on top, wanted to have a shower!!!), they made some calls, and then guided me to a different lounge (the "Tarraza" one??). As we had arrived there, the place was rather crowded, and people were queuing to get in. However, I was shown upstairs where there was a kind of premium area (where they busily prepared the shower room for me). My experience: That place offered really decent Mexican food, both buffet style and on order; the latter was brought in from a different place/lounge obviously. For the beverages, the menu was surprisingly of good quality, I had a cocktail and tasted some wine. Effectively, there are three "Grand Lounge"s there; and if I am not completely mistaken, all of them a few minutes walk appart. I have asked at the other locations, and they were busy, too, just as was mine. (~8pm) Bottom line: All these GL places (Terraza, Elite, Lounge 19) appear to be the same by organization and standard. None of them is that large, and they have no day light. But as far as I could tell, they are quite decent and on-par standard, and the staff were nice and professional - despite of the crowds. |
Any recent reviews on the Aeromexico T2 lounge (I believe that's the lounge for Delta J)?
