We fly Alaska so it's a long haul. When we have a long enough layover we do it, but not feasible with shorter ones.

Used Priority Pass twice* earlier this week:
- LAX doesn't have a lounge, but I spent about 2.5 hours at the video game place (Gameway) in Terminal 3. Cardholders normally get one hour, but the place wasn't busy, and the staff members were nice. Plus, it included a snack and a drink.
- CLE has a rubbish lounge (The Club). There was a queue (it was Labor Day), but I convinced the lounge agent to let me get a glass of water. The food didn't sound good anyway, so I spent all in five minutes at the bar.
OTOH, I had breakfast at Bar Szymon. Four cups of coffee, and a guacamole jalapeno omelette. Pleasant waitress.

Thanks! Did not realize the game place came with food and beverage, maybe I'll try one. I'm not a gamer type but I'll give it a shot next time

Looks like the only place in MIA we can use our Amex PP is the Turkish Airlines lounge - anyone been and should we bother?
The Turkish lounge was fine - nothing fancy. Had a variety of hummus, olives, quinoa, macaroni salad, 2 kinds of sandwiches. Only hot item was lentil soup (we were there between 4-4:30). Alcohol seemed to be self serve (no bar, just bottles on the counter next to the food). We just had sodas from the fridge.

Just noticed this!! Thankfully the Prague lounges are still within the Platinum AMEX Priority Pass network.

A Tale of Two Lounges (BOS)
I presented my PP card at the Terminal C lounge last week, being told of a waitlist of roughly 30 minutes. Half hour later, I was texted to enter. Morning offerings were pretty scant, most "solid" food on offer were (microwaved?) plain omelets, with a dish each of ham cubes and shredded cheese nearby; no way to heat those, hard pass! Lucked out getting a seat near one of the few outlets.
On my way home, I used my PP for my one free annual visit to the Chase club: Wow! No waitlist, all sorts of fancy small plates; I chose not to summon a cooked-to-order omlet. They changed to the afternoon menu while I was there: several different small plates, and either a burger or sandwich with fries, cooked-to-order (again, I passed). Outlets at all seats.

AMEX Plat gives 2 free guests. I don't anticipate bringing a 3rd do the $35 is moot. We can go to Plaza Premium, Delta and Lufthansa when flying with them and Escape and Centurion Clubs. I am happy to be able to enjoy a drink and food.

- Amex Plat provides free entry to PP lounges to the cardholder plus 2 guests. Ditto for Escape Lounges.
- For Amex Centurion and DL lounges, Amex Plat currently provides free entry only for cardholder. Any guests are extra charge (waived at Centurion for those who spend $75k/yr)
- NR which bucket LH and Plaza Premium fall into.
- Amex Plat provides no benefits whatsoever at PP restaurants

No lounges at LAX (only experiences which aren't included in Amex Plat PP + Centurion lounge). The world has changed.

Just to be clear, you have conflated two concepts here.

My Priority Pass account is sponsored by American Express, and the number displayed in the app does match the physical card. I suppose it could be different if your membership is provided by a different issuer -or- if they have recently changed their procedure.

That's a pretty dismal list... and it makes me realize I'm in kind of a travel rut (mainly, between my two residences of PDX and OGG). OGG has a Hawaiian/PP lounge but it's beyond a joke - a coffee/pop station, a couple TVs and some really uncomfortable furniture... I've been to nicer DMVs. PDX on the other hand is very nice with a restaurant option that has great grab/go, full bar and sit down meals. I easily get a few hundred dollars a year value from that at least. As for the general idea of the thread, I'm starting to understand.
