SEA (Cafe Floret back up on Priority Pass!)

Stoked about this.

Floret by Cafe Flora, the hipster vegan restaurant/coffeeplace in A Terminal at SEA was added to PP lounge program, then quickly dropped off, benedict-arnold'ed and popped back on, then disappeared for good. But now, a couple months later, they've rejoined! Yay. Lunch only, not breakfast. Shame, because they've got some bomb-looking breakfasts there. But, I'm really excited about having a good-food option at SEA on PP.

Funny though - I'd messaged them a week or so prior, and they messaged back on Instagram, telling me they'd be back up and running on the 9th. On the 10th, I stopped by last week on my way back from OGG at 6am. Still had the "nope, PP not accepted" sign. Asked what was up, they said a couple more days fo' sure. So, I guess I'll book a flight to SEA next week, schedule it past 2pm, and try the chow. Almost didn't want to share the good news because I don't want it overcrowded, but... there ya go anyway!

Family member used it tonight. They seemed to enjoy it.

I was underwhelmed the last round they were in PP... guess I'm not into that.

rather enjoyed my 2 meals there the first time around. Glad to hear they are back. Much better experience than the AS lounge at SEA ^.

SEA Cafe Floret NO 6/2019

So bummed, sign up saying NO priority pass at SEA Floret. Says to contact Priority Pass for questions. PP website still displays it as an option. PP benefit not used often by me, so disappointed when not available even though listed on the PP website as an option.

Trust PP to give a stock answer about "independent, 3rd party vendors" owing members nothing in their sole discretion.

If the restaurant chooses to no longer participate, and is not contractually obligated to do so, what exactly, would you propose that that PP say?

Regards

Lemme see...

> Code in the expiration date of participation in the PP app?

> Not sign up the restaurant without a contract in force?

> Tolerate no on-off participation based on a manager's daily frame of mind.

A few unverified statements from the server...

1- They didn't make any money on PP
2- PP gets 20% of the bill
3- PP users don't tip, so servers do better with fewer customers but who actually pay
4- PP users would often just order the max dollar amount and waste food
5- PP users made the place super crowded, so customers paying full freight were shut out and the restaurant didn't get their money
6- PP doesn't really work as a marketing thing
7- PP may work better for restaurants with cheaper food costs and/or higher margins

I have no comment on the above, but found her comments interesting.
