Question re: Access to Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at JFK flying Delta

I've been lurking here for a bit without an account, reading posts and trying to find an answer to my question. But sadly, I still don't have the info I need, so I finally made an account and posted. Apologies in advance if this question *has* been answered and I missed it.

Last year, I flew JFK-LHR on Virgin Atlantic Upper Class and fell in love with the Clubhouse, as one does. This September, I'm going with my mother to Scotland. I would *love* to fly Virgin, but they don't go direct to Scotland. We're instead booked on the one direct flight Delta has, from JFK-EDI, with seats in Delta One/Business Class. Specifically, the ticket lists us as "D" tho that price didn't seem like a discount! The flight itself is DL 208 with a codeshare with VS 4026. We have no special airline status.

I'm hoping that we are able to access the Clubhouse at JFK, as we are Delta One passengers flying from North America to the UK, as the Delta site says. I have seen some info here about it being open to "J" class Delta passengers, but I wasn't sure if that is shorthand for Business/Upper class or not, when it comes to lounge access. I've also heard some ~horror stories about the greeters at the JFK Clubhouse denying entry to passengers heading to EDI, saying it's only for passengers going to the UK, which...lol. But that may have been when this route first launched at they were not familiar with it's existence.

Anyway, I know that we'll still have access to the Delta Sky Club, but I was really looking forward to showing my mother the amazing Clubhouse! Any help and info would be appreciated! Sorry for the long post.
