Guys - just confirming there is no priority club lounge at SFO in T1 (flying Jetblue). On their website, it seems there's only one at T2,T3 and Int Terminal A,G. I have a 3 hour layover. Is it easy to go to one of the other terminals to use the lounge first and then transfer via the airport train or something? Thanks

It is a walk from T1 to the SFO international wings, and you have to exit / reclear security, and then if you make it in there you might be IME be denied access to the AF/KL or China Airlines lounges on account of capacity issues. And assuming you're departing from T1, you have to leave time to reclear security and get back there. So for me the hassle / risk / tedium factors outweigh the appeal of possible lounge access, unless I literally have 4-5 hours on my hands and nothing better to do.

I'm really not, because (A) restaurant =/= lounge, (B) I don't find airport restaurants in general very relaxing or serene, and (C) I've been shot down enough times at the host podium because I have card-perk PP, not native-membership PP, and the first is no good.

So even though PP life is rife with such shootdowns and access denials, especially in the US, I have decided the hell with the restaurant-credit end of the proposition.

If I recall, for PP they'll direct you to a lounge on the top floor, called the Golden Gate lounge by some FT'ers. I've been there once and not sure if that's the name, but it appeared to be a mini-version of the old AF/KLM lounge. I wasn't aware of CI's lounge, but will try it next time.

Just to clarify, "card-perk" PP includes restaurants, you just need the right credit card (e.g. Chase). I have never been shot down at a PP restaurant at SFO.

To be fair I walked past a whole line of agitated PP members who denied access to the LH lounge at IAD. Although I did not further inquire, I would be surprised if LH distinguished between card-perk and native membership PP.

T1 and Intl A (where those above mentioned PP lounges are located) are connected airside. No need to exit / reclear security.

Trying to understand this KLM/Air France/Golden Gate Lounge thing.

Priority Pass says the Air France/KLM lounge is open until 23:30. The last KLM/Air France flight from SFO is an Air France flight that leaves at 20:00. If it is one of those days when there is only one Air France flight, then the last flight of the day is 14:55 AF to CDG.

If they are keeping PP folks out of the AF/KLM Lounge, who is using it after the last flight of the day, either at 14:55 or 20:00?

Here are the displayed hours of the AF/KLM Lounge from July 3, 2023 when I was denied access. Priority Pass isnt up-to-date but aligns with the flight schedule.

My sense is that going forward the real Air France lounge will be open only for the AF departures and will not be accessible for Priority Pass cardholders. The upstairs Golden Gate lounge will have much longer hours and will be open for PP.

Stopped by Golden Golden Gate Lounge at around 10 PM on 9/13th. Reception desk told me no Priority Pass after 7 PM; they are servicing business class passengers from various airlines (not KLM/AF.)

That's consistent with what the front desk told me back in June.

First VS flight out each day is around 5pm, so presumably this will be a cut-down level of service during the PP hours, much like BA was doing.

Wonder how long before The Club SFO in T1 finally opens - it's got to be getting close by now...

Amazing how often things change on the lounges and access at SFO. There was a brief window when the new Maple Leaf lounge in Terminal 2 seemed to be accepting Priority Pass. I showed up last week and the lounge agent there looked at me like I was some sort of travel newbie. He was nice about it, but he made it clear that there's no way that my PP card is getting me in there.
