Priority Pass options (as of 8/28/21)

There are currently 0 PP lounge options at LAX with their respective hours of operation for PP members:
  • Barney's Beanery (Terminal 2); 10:30 am-midnight removed from program 11/30/2018
  • Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse (Terminal 2); 5:00 am-10:30am being converted to a Delta SkyClub. Delta signage already displayed outside April 2021
  • Campanile (Terminal 4) 6a-10p - restaurant with $28 credit removed from program in October 2018
  • Alaska Lounge (Terminal 6); 4:30 am-11:00 pm (4:30-10:00 pm Sundays) according to Priority Pass access is "temporarily suspended" effective July 26, 2021
  • Point the Way Cafe (Terminal 6); 1 pm-11 pm - restaurant with $28 credit (PP cards issued via American Express Platinum Card do not qualify) dropped out June 2021 after reopening
  • Korean (KAL) Lounge (TBIT); 11:00am-5:00pm report on FT in 8/2021 is that this lounge is no longer accepting PP
  • P.F. Chang's (TBIT) 11a-11p - restaurant with $28 credit removed from program October 2019
  • Rock & Brews (Terminal 1) 5:00am - 10:00 pm - restaurant with $28 credit (PP cards issued via American Express Platinum Card do not qualify)

Note that all terminals from T4 through T8, including TBIT, are connected airside, albeit not necessarily in the most passenger friendly manner. Expect multiple sets of stairs, escalators, long underground tunnels, and so on.Note that the Alaska Lounge has a tendency to deny access to priority pass holders due to "crowding" reasons.

That's really unfortunate. I usually end up tipping more generously since the food/drink was free.

Walked over from T2 and tried the tri tip sandwich. Unfortunately had ruthlessness than it looked in the picture. Wings the guy across the table from me was eating looked much better.

ive always thought the Rock and Brew was up to $56, even if u bring it more guest. The PP description doesnt seem to say that. so if i bring in 2 guest, its $28x3?

correct. It’s 3x$28. You plus two guests. Each person gets $28.

I believe chase only allows two guests per card.

I’m rather amazed at this $28x3 deal with PP at real restaurants. Some road warriors must really be going to town with this.

only if you fly southwest. And it’s per person. If you fly alone for work it’s $28. However I am perfectly fine with $28. It’s enough for a entree and a drink. No complaints here at all.

Well, it looks like Amex may have just killed the goose for all of us. See this thread: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/amer...staurants.html

It looks like this will come to an end in August for those who get their PP card included with Amex Plat.

This blows, but on the positive side I should be able to get into the Alaska Lounge tomorrow morning as every other PP-er will stampede over to Rock & Brews for a last meal before the August 1st Apocalypse.

Was it down thread that somebody mentioned the tragedy of the commons?

LAX AMEX PP holders are particularly hit hard by this new policy. There's hardly anything left from PP in most of the airport on most hours.

Agree going to hit me hard. I don’t think it’s worth keeping the Hilton AMEX for me anymore.

Question regarding the hours of VS Clubhouse at T2, PP holders gain access from 0500 to 1130, but does the lounge close after 1130?

Say if I get in at 1000, can I remain in the lounge till 1300? Or people are kicked out at 1130?

They close for a short period to put out the real food and stuff and will kick all PP people out.

Interesting and a bit disappointing. I once got into the Air Canada Lounge at Newark shortly before the PP cutoff time. I stayed a good 45 minutes after the cutoff and no one booted me out.
