S7 Priority Status match for topbonus members

As Air Berlin has ceased operating flights, S7 Priority offers the members of the topbonus loyalty programme holding the Elite status the equal status of S7 Priority and the accrual of S7 Priority miles for flights with S7 Airlines taken between 01.10.2016 and 30.09.2017, even if these flights were accounted for in the topbonus programme earlier.

Instant Elite Status.

Elite members of topbonus can become members of the S7 Priority loyalty programme before 31.12.2017 and submit a photo of their topbonus Elite status card or a screenshot of their topbonus personal account via the feedback form in the S7 Priority Personal Account. The equivalent status of S7 Priority will be assigned to the member after he or she takes the flight with S7 Airlines as an S7 Priority member if the flight is taken before the end of 2018.

Mileage Accrual.

To earn S7 Priority miles, members of topbonus can become members of the S7 Priority loyalty programme and submit their number in the topbonus programme via the feedback form in the S7 Priority Personal Account. Miles for flights with S7 Airlines taken from 01.10.2016 to 30.09.2017 will be credited to a new account of the S7 Priority programme according to the rules for mileage accrual of the S7 Priority loyalty programme no later than 30 days after your request. The offer is valid until 01 October 2018.

The best part of this status match will be ; that the previous miles flown with S7 and credited to Airberlin will be credited to your new S7 Priority account

I'm not sure if S7 Priority is a great long term strategy for many given that it may be more difficult to maintain status with them.

True, but I'd personally change to AY,BA,AA,CX,QR, etc. since maintaining status on those would be easier for me. But then I'm not in the AB boat ...

Been approved for S7 status challenge, but I have no idea what gonna be the validity of the status. Public offer doesn't mention that, confirmation e-mail doesn't mention that as well. Anyone seen the details? Is it through Feb 2019 or just Feb 2018?

No. On S7, the status validity is always till the end of current year+13 months. So if your tier is upgraded say in April 2017, it will be valid till February 2019.

So status upgraded anywhere in 2018 would give validity through Feb 2020?

Yeah. So you get between 13 and 24 months of validity, depending on how early/ late in the year you have qualified.

How long should a complimentary match be to get a happy face?

I think a free year of OWE is a pretty good offer
