Thanks, I think I am pretty much eligible here. But, unbelievably for a frequent flyer, I doubt I'll make the 4 flights requirement before the end of the year. Bronze is not a huge deal to go chasing after, though.

Is it actually restricted to German residents? (the English text does not appear to be explicit about this)

IB is matching upto Saphire so I doubt that necessarily the same criteria are being used. Especially since IB requires a new account and ba is also current members

That's indeed what it says, but I tried asking anyway (I'm based in Malaysia) yesterday. Got an email today - impressively fast response - saying they have matched my Topbonus Gold to a BA Executive Bronze.

I tried for the BA Status Match yesterday.

Still waiting to hear back from them. Is it worth contacting them again?

You should wait a few weeks.

Contacting them after a day is only going to slow things down further!

(But given that your profile says you have BA Silver, why are you requesting to be downgraded to Bronze [aka "Rust" ]???? And as your profile says you are in the UK, why are you requesting an offer available only to accounts based in Germany????)

Has anyone tried this and can say whether you need 300 or 600 status points to reach silver following the status match?
