SFO Lounge for C?

There are many OW lounges at SFO, but AB says on their website they use the AF lounge at SFO for C passengers which confused me since AF is not OW.

Which lounge do you go to at SFO when departing using AB?

The Air France lounge is the one which AB contracts for its Business pax. (If you have oneworld status, you may be able to access oneworld lounges in the International Terminal. Please report back).

(Bear in mind that, at Berlin-Tegel, they also contract the Air France lounge in Terminal A).

Since AB is OW member, can you use the cathay, Sakura, BA, or other OW lounges in SFO?

I don't think that the non-status pax would be able to use it. AFAIK the OW lounge agreement is for status pax.

Yes, per normal Oneworld rules

Okay, barring all the nuisances about status in OW, if I'm flying C on airberlin out of SFO, what lounges (logistically speaking) with terminals, gates, security as a barrier in mind.

What lounges can one visit at SFO when flying AB C?

If you're flying in C on AB, please remember to dislocate your left (or right, you choice) shoulder to be able to fit in and sleep properly in the narrow coffins.

According to seatguru.com, they're the exact same width as the Club World coffins - 20".

I can't say that I found AB's business class any narrower than BA's coffins.

Maybe it's the way they're cut. I find AB narrower and deeper (a valley) compared to CW

I don't believe it was. I want to know EVERY lounge I have access to, and am entitled to, and it's my first time flying out of sfo, so I can try out all the lounges.

So far I know I'm allowed the AF one. But I'm curious about the other OW ones and if it's even possible if they leave from the same terminal etc...

You may find that you are not allowed to lounge-hop.

I have not departed from SFO on AB, but I would expect that, should you visit the AF lounge, they will stamp your boarding pass and the oneworld lounges would then refuse you access - unless, of course, you can show a oneworld status card that would enable you to gain access.

This has not been my experience. I once tried all the OW lounges in HND when flying AA J.

My experience of AB boarding passes issued at TXL and stamped with the AF lounge stamp (indicating that one has already visited the AF lounge) is that they are refused at the BA lounge just downstairs...at least until a BA Gold card is thrown into the mix...
