The summer flight plans are usually from end of March to end of October, the winter flight plans cover the rest of the time. You get one period ahead of the current, so my guess is that some time in October, you will be able to book beyond March 24, 2018... assuming, of course, airberlin still exists in the present form and shape at that time ;-)

It's likely, that soon there will be no more flights under the brand name AirBerlin anymore and that the company, which will take over the operating business, won't be a member of Oneworld.
AB has always burned a lot of money, but these days is getting even worse - in finance and reputation. EY has to pay AB's bill, so they want to get rid of AB as soon as possible.
