What is flight accumulator?
I logged in today and have seen this on my profile page:
What is flight accumulator? The info about the linked page is outdated (for 2016).
From 1st of March 2017, the topbonus flight accumulator to reach or keep your status level, applies to all airberlin fares. This includes Economy Light flights with airberlin. Please see respective tables on our airberlin page.

It simply means that Economy Light fares now count towards the segments that allow you to reach status. For example, you can reach Silver status by collecting 25000 status miles or 24 flight segments. Economy Light fares now count towards those 24 segments, whereas they didn't previously.
