HELP: Using AirBerlin TopBonus Points on Etihad.
Anyone know the best (most bang for your buck) redemption options for TopBonus points (AirBerlin) on Etihad ?
Hoping perhaps first class to Abu Dhabi or if not then business class - in their best cabins, which I presume are the A380s ??? Are there any sweet spots anyone's aware of ? Thanks in advance of your help. :) |
As a complete aside I just had a look at a short one way hop from MUC to CGN in their current TopBonus promotion. Its 1500 TopBonus points plus 70 Euros (58GBP) or via SkyScanner its 52GBP without using any points. Terrible points value !!

You won't be able to get F in any airline for TB miles. You can spend them for flights up to J.
I did long trip for miles this autumn from Europe to Asia/Australia and Fiji and back, where some of sectors were for TB miles. The best one was SYD-AUH-FCO-TXL in J (EY A380 and others). Additional fees were only 50 EUR :-) |

I thought I'd answered the OP's question earlier, but that might have been in another forum. There I mentioned that domestic USA tickets on AA can be a very good deal because of the low taxes. That makes an economy ticket to Hawaii an excellent deal (economy is all you're likely to get going there). |
Anyone found any other countries where the taxes are low for biz redemptions on EY (or AB) using TopBonus points ?
Or any other airline for that matter !! So far I've heard of EY out of Australia and intra-US on AA (from helpful replies on this thread and from other sources). |
