AirBerlin Seating Award Seating Availability

Hello,

I am looking for seats from LAX in June or July. I'm not seeing anything on BA or AA.com.

I tried 2 weeks out to 10 months out and still can't find any airberlin award seats.

Do they still show on BA & AA's search?
If not, where can I see availability?
Finally, when do they tend to release economy and business seats?

Thanks.

AB did an IT upgrade and since then I am having difficulty finding AB space too. Looking at next summer as well.

If you search on ABs website I find plenty of space but I cant find any on AA or BA website.

Check this thread for more people with the same issue.

Same here. But when I call Asia Miles to book it, they don't see it either. So the AB on airberlin website doesn't really help too much.

I'm hoping they fix this soon or it doesn't stay this way.

Does not seem to be IT problem. Plenty of awards up to 6-8 weeks prior to departure (checked JFK-DUS as well as DUS-TXL on aa.com). Maybe their EY overlord decide to cut partners out of awards space for anything departing more than 2 months old.

Ah, my flight is way out of 6-8 weeks. I'll keep a lookout for them to open up then closer to that time if that's the case. Do you know if they have a route from LAX-TXL?

EDIT: is it only visible on AA.com or also on BA's site?

For summer flights I can find the awards on IB, QA, AB website so I don't think so. Does not show on BA or AA tho.

I'm using expertflyer and not seeing any availability at all from LAX for the entire year. Also tried ORD, nothing available at all.

I don't believe EF shows AB awards.

It absolutely does.

There appear to be 2 different issues. I'm seeing award availability on multiple flights on EF, but neither AA nor BA are showing any award availability at all on AB. As per threads in the AA forum, phone agents can't see it either

We are looking for this as well. We had been tracking availability for months, and 3 days before our flights should (shoulda woulda coulda) have been released, the space disappeared.

Cross-posting from the AA forum.

I want to book TXL-KEF on AB but see no award space on either AA.com or BA.com. It is available on AB's website.

I did some tests by checking the TXL-ORY route (since TXL-KEF is not checkable on Qantas.com).

- It is available on AA.com, BA.com, QF.com up till Apr 30.
- It is wide open on QF.com beyond Apr 30. But no award space shows up on AA.com or BA.com for any date after that.

Previous threads report BA and AA availability on AB drops off a cliff around Mar 5 or Mar 30. It looks like that is now Apr 30.

I don't understand what the hell is going on and why QF still has access to space but BA and AA don't.

I would like to book an award to KEF in June using AA miles (not from the US) before the Mar 22 devaluation and this really throws a wrench in the works. KEF is hard enough to get to as it is.

I'm having the same problem translating award J availability on EF ("YES") to availability using AA miles through the AA EXP desk ("NO"). Are there any useful techniques for determining seat availability other than bothering AA every day?

Is it correct to conclude that AB offers more award seats to its FFers than partner FFers?

That would certainly be new to me. Have you tried looking it up with BA (awardnexus or BAEC account)? Especially American carriers are somewhat notorios for restricting inventory to their own members on third party metal, so I wouldn't blame AB without a cross-check.
