The very last AB flight - who would join?

And yes - In a 'lets earn miles' forum this is a stupid question to ask

BUT
I believe it would be fun to be on the very last AB coded flight

Who would join?

At present AB8749 from milan I believe is the last one that would land in duesseldorf on AB coder on 27 Oct 2017 - correct?

AB6210 from Munich the last one in TXL?

What will be the very last flight of Air Berlin under AB code?

Should we be there? Yes we must!

I'm not denying it would be fun to have my first AB flight be on the company's last flight, but I can't justify the price.

I wouldn't touch it, least of all for that money, you'll probably end up losing it. But I'm totally with you, it would be nice and appropriate to the nature of this forum to try to be on the last AB flight. But this is no 'Virgin America disappearing as it becomes Alaska Airlines' scenario. With AB you just never know what it's going to do.

I don't know if it is available/doable at all, but it could be a neat way to get rid of any leftover AB miles...

The flight's pretty full anyways:
AB 6210 MUC 27/10/17 21:35 TXL 27/10/17 22:45 320 J3 C3 D3 I0 T0 Y4 B1 H0 K0 M0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 P0 E0 W0 Z0 G4

But I don't think we can redeem airberlin miles for flights on anything anymore, can we? If we can use them, then I'll be right there with you! Would be nice if we could use them on HG.

I'm waiting for my last "airberlin" flight now, DUS-GVA. In reality, it's operated by LGW Walter and I booked it on Expedia under the Etihad Regional code F7 as flight F7 1309.

I wish I would have booked that flight... Now it'S too late.

Just saw a news video about it, very emotional good bye from employees, special good bye message printed on boarding passes, you could sign the plane door, they did fly an extra loop over Berlin, "water welcome fountain" by the fire brigade and hundreds of employees waiting for the passengers when the plane arrived to say "thank you".

I wish I'd been on that flight. Had such a great time with them during the last years and would have liked to say "thank you", too.

Goodbye airberlin.
