Too many horror stories about lost checked in luggage on air berlin... is this something that's still going on?

When you check AB facebook page and read the passengers' messages, you'll see that lost luggage is still a major issue. I am travelling TXL-MUC in August; in MUC I connect to an AA flight to PHL (the same reservation), and I really need to have my bag because I will be travelling around quite a bit. I would gladly avoid AB and its mess at TXL by flying IB via MAD or even BA via LHR and connect from there to an AA flight, but unless there is a major schedule change or AB stops operating, this does seem an option.

Does anybody now how is lost luggage handling in DUS? I mostly recall complaints about TXL ...

It only was a TXL problem...but not any-more!
Reason was a change in the ground-handling company.

You're connecting though DUS - should be an easy one.
TXL was never planned as hub airport... only P2P.

Extremely poor. As I posted on another thread, I lost my luggage connecting through DUS 10 days ago. It is impossible to contact the lost luggage and baggage handling staff at DUS, and AB has been completely useless... I've learned my lesson, and will avoid AB in the future.
