That's exactly what I was thinking. Also this would give you a greater chance of a schedule change in which case you could get a close to full refund.

LOL - was back in 2009 and not sure how many call centre staff would still be around today 😎. And I was NZ Jade having just returned from 4 years overseas. Besides, the least I could do to claw back the many credit card fees imposed

History aside, the retention of taxes from cancelled tickets from those that dont know or cant be bothered claiming them all adds to AirNZs coffers
