Why did I have fast track security at AKL on my boarding pass?

I recently departed AKL to NRT in July and then again to SFO several weeks later - both in Y and both times I had 'EXPRESS' printed on my boarding pass for fast track security. At the time of travel I was Silver status and held Koru, but as far as I can tell from the AirNZ website fast track international security isn't a benefit of either Silver or Koru. Previous international departures holding both Silver and Koru (departing Feb and May 23) there was no fast track security on my boarding pass.

I have no issue with being able to use fast track, I'm just trying to understand the logic as to why it was applied to me. Can anyone shed some light on the reason for this?

Koru can use premium checkin right? So guess in AKL it is an extension of that.

Im Silver and Koru as well and also get express - pretty sure its part of Koru given Koru can use premium checkin (but Silver alone cant).

You wouldnt have had it earlier in the year as the express lane was closed for quite some time, but it finally reopened in about May IIRC.

It's a stated benefit of Koru as part of Air NZ Premium Check-In. Careful not to give Greg Foran ideas for the next benefit to scrap...

I get it as Elite Partner - our benefits are roughly the same as Koru member

Thanks for confirming. My EP has not travelled internationally since the Express Path was re-opened.
