I think there will almost certainly be a pretty big dip ex NZ in premium cabins going forward as mortgage rate increases start hitting a lot more people who right now are living pretty comfortably.

Booking behaviour now has passengers booking really late, so it's a game of poker with the market - hold those fares high hoping all of those late bookers will appear. As has been said, forwards have looked strong from last November through to Easter. Beyond then is anyone's guess.

I was rather hoping the sale would include PE from YVR - hopefully improve the chances of my Y-PE RU clearing for YVR-AKL in May.

Well, I booked PE for my USA September flight and my upgrades were approved automatically to BP which is not a surprise, given that the BP cabin was completely empty, not a single seat had been bought both going and return. Quite surprised they didn't run a sale on BP as well.

I checked it out and the economy cabin was on sale. It was 1/3 booked. The PE cabin was 1/2 booked, and that was not on sale. So the trend of strong PE bookings continues.

I booked in Aug 22 for Aug 23 as soon as I could. The booking was for AKL/ICN in PE. I see the current "sale" THE DEAL is more expensive than what I paid for exactly the same date, So sale? what sale I say when the fare on sale is more expensive than the fare at release date.

I see the sale is extended to January 16th.
As already mentioned by a few of us, the financial storm that is coming is causing more people to seek shelter, as in not spend.
The bulk of the pent up spend from Covid lock downs has shot it's wad.

From memory, in the pre-pandemic years they did that as well. They would advertise the sale as ending on a specific date and then extend it a few days more. This was not a surprise to me and I expected them to extend it.

not that the (NZ) sale was great, but bought tickets for Australia since I was going to do that anyway.
