Flight paid with Airpoints but Gold Status on Another Airline
I used my Airpoints to pay for a domestic flight tomorrow morning. I'm *A Gold via TAP, but when I change the FF details on the reservation or online check-in, it reverts back to my (no status) Airpoints number.
Will I be able to access the domestic lounge on the basis of my TAP status? Would be really helpful as I'm flying in from QR arriving at 1:15am at AKL and shower/breakfast ahead of my 7:20am departure would be a godsend.

You won't be able to change your FF membership on the booking. This is tied to your Airpoints account once you use Airpoints to pay for the flight. However, if you go to the Koru Lounge and present your TAP *A card, they are able to manually process your lounge access. This has worked for me, and several people I know personally, in the past. This information is pre-COVID and others may have more recent experiences to contribute.

Not sure what you're planning to do until the lounge opens at 5, that won't be a pleasant wait – but yes per *A rules you're allowed with physical card regardless of FFP on the booking

Indeed. At domestic lounge now. Lounge attendant just waved me through in a disinterested way. In the end, thanks to an eternity for the bags to come out of the QR flight, I just had a couple of hours to sit at the international terminal, fuelled by coffee from the 24h McD's.
TBH the most unpleasant aspect was dealing with Air New Zealand domestic staff who at 4:30am treated pax as if we were a complete nuisance and actively made announcements for us not to approach staff until after 5am.

Terminal being open doesn't mean check-in is open.

AirNZ policy is deliberately at variance to *A policy. I have exchanged correspondence on this matter with AirNZ to no avail.
