My wife whose Gold status expires at the end of Jan 2023 has just received an email being offered another year of status extension with no strings attached. Not sure if this is a targeted offer or not as I have not received the same offer. She has barely credited any flight to NZ for the past year while I am already half way through re-qualification.

Didn't Gold get free status extensions as well as Elite? Many people would still have another banked year as these are applied up until March 2023.
