I’m a big guy and I dislike these seats. They feel hard and the experience seems cramped. For a domestic flight they’re manageable but I wouldn’t want to fly them internationally.

The other issue is I've had a couple of flights with dodgy recline levers. Makes me wonder how many seats are broken already.

With most relatively modern IFE systems it doesn't matter. Airlines and IFE manufacturers maintain dual connectors for legacy headphone connections but you'll get stereo using either connector.

Very few airline deployments are currently supporting Bluetooth. Bluetooth to 3.5mm transmitters literally are as cheap as chips now from usual sources such as Aliexpress. - last time I looked NZ$3 delivered for one that's USB powered, or around NZ$7-10 if you want a higher quality battery powered unit.

Sad that ANZ is using the same base seat models as Spirit. I mean, Spirit is a horrible airline in every way.

Not quite the same. Yes lots of LCC's (incl Spirit) used Acro, but they all used the series 3 seats. Air NZ were the launch customer for the newer series 6 seat which is actually quite different.
