Interesting. Just done a couple of dummy bookings and do get it, perhaps didnt notice this morning...
Price didnt change with or without air points number.
Message also comes before seat select so makes limited sense.

I did a few funny bookings and see it regardless of the fare type selected. But see no difference in fare prices.

I know the system that handles married fares is turned off at present.

Data point for *Golds. I made dummy bookings in Y and J using my THAI *G credentials. Had access to the HVC seating but the message discussed did not come up at any stage. Interesting.

New Zealand closed?

Did I misunderstand that NZ is closed and tourists discouraged at least for one year.

Just canceled my trip pla
n for March 2021. If you are a kiwi, please enlighten me.

Also visa processing is suspended.

NZ is "closed" but nobody really knows how long for. That's not to say travel for NZers to other countries will be banned long term, and there is a lot of hope that Trans Tasman travel could be a possibly back within the next couple of months.

Probably be better cancelling as talk here is unless you a Kuki or live here no one getting in until maybe November and only then after tests and quarantine.

I genuinely think Perth will be up and going by late July. Time will tell.
Hong Kong is a complete unknown but booked a fully refundable fare as trying to plan remainder of year - but many many variables......

Unable to select seats

I had similar problems! Have a booking to Chicago in July 2020, to ORD in Premium economy (Airpoints upgrade pending) confirmed seat in Premium economy, return to Auckland in Business, confirmed seat in business: at least that is what I thought...

Received a message of my travel agent asking me if I wanted to cancel the flights in July. They still appear as booked flights in my booking overview. One can still purchase them on airnz.co.nz
However, I am unable to see the seating map any longer, so can't change seats, no intention doing so, but found it interesting. Says seats will allocated at check in if one clicks on select seats in the booking. The seats I originally selected are still visible with their seat numbers in my booking.

Does not look good ....

Seat maps get locked form editing all the time, with that message. Previously it generally meant really full flight or an equipment swap or a CSR had done a lot of massaging (e.g. reroutes) to the booking and broke a linkage between backend and frontend (everything with booking was fine on backend, airport, csr, etc it was just the customer facing WebUI).

The booking was made using credits, its now a fully flexibility fare, than can be cancelled at any time as fully refundable. This instead of $ being held in credit. If we get to go, fantastic. If we dont then refund is due.
