New PB seats on hold

Hi all. Just flying PB AKL - LAX and spoke to the inflight service manager. He told me that they have just internally announced that all development of new BP seats is on hold due to lack of internal resourcing (because of 787) and also reduced demand they are pushing out all investments.

To be fair it was just a refresh wasn't it? The new BP seat itself will be launched with the new 787's

The refurbished seat for all 777's and 787's seems to be on hold - they were going in at the same time as the "Economy+" but that hasn't happened. Even when I asked PR about it recently they knew nothing.

New seat is still scheduled for the 787-10 and is essential as Air NZ need a 1-2-1 layout on the 787 which they can't do with the current seat.
